Tell your story

Everyone has a story to tell.

And there has never been a more important time to share yours.

It’s also a great way to attract customers. You see, customers today want to get to know the people behind the brand. They’re curious about genuine and authentic transactions and are keen to learn more about a business before spending their dollars.

This is where email marketing and social media are perfect. Both platforms allow you to share your story directly with your customer base – and better yet, you can be as formal or as informal as your business dictates.

If you’re struggling to find your story, consider these questions:

  1. Why did you start your business?
  2. What motivates you each day?
  3. If you weren’t running a business what would you be doing?

Show your value

Next up is value.

Attracting customers often comes down to what you can offer them – and how you are providing more ‘value’ than other businesses or services who may be similar.

When talking to potential customers it’s important to highlight the value that you will bring to their lives today and into the future. The second point is most important as people want to be reassured that their hard-earned money is being spent wisely. This also brings us to our next point.

Plan for the future

During times of uncertainty, customers may be looking for ways to spend on services they can use in the future.

Gift vouchers are a great tool for this as they allow customers to redeem their goods or service down the track – and they bring money into your businesses in the short term.

While this may not be attractive to all customers it’s certainly worth a shot!
